Hello, I am LIZ LLAMOSAS
I live in the beautiful city of Arequipa in the south of Peru and this place has had a big influence on the type of photos you'll see here. The architecture and landscapes over here definitely stand out. Colonial churches, cobbled streets, buildings made with sillar (white volcanic rock), our three volcanoes and the beautiful countryside are some of the main features of Arequipa.
Traveling is another activity I love and paired with photography one gets a lovely combination. (I also ride a bike everyday to commute, that's why the helmet and gloves in the photo)
How did I start with photography? Well, I've always been told my photos were good. Back then I used my point-and-shoot camera and my cell phone. One day, I decided to buy a DSLR and learn how to use it. This type of camera gives you much more control over how you want to capture your images. That was on May 2018 and I've loved the journey so far.
Is this my full time job? No (not yet). I'm actually an English teacher at a Binational Center in Arequipa. I take pictures mostly on weekends or when I'm on a trip.
I usually do architecture and landscape photography, but I also love portraits and if they are set in nature, even better. My goal is to capture the love you have for those that are close to you (family, friends, pets) or to capture the joy you feel when doing your favorite activities (your job, riding your motorcycle, practicing sports, etc.)

On a biking trip to Yumina (Arequipa, Peru - 2016)
Hola, soy LIZ LLAMOSAS
Vivo en la hermosa ciudad de Arequipa en el sur del Perú y este lugar ha tenido una gran influencia en el tipo de fotos que verán acá. Nuestra arquitectura y paisajes definitivamente destacan. Iglesias coloniales, calles adoquinadas, edificaciones hechas con sillar (roca volcánica blanca), nuestros tres volcanes y la campiña son algunas de las principales características de Arequipa.
Viajar es otra actividad que amo y unida a la fotografía uno obtiene una gran combinación. (También monto bicicleta todos los días para ir a mi trabajo, por eso me ven con el casco y guantes en la foto)
¿Como empecé con la fotografía? Bueno, siempre me han dicho que mis fotos son buenas. En ese entonces usaba mi cámara digital compacta y mi celular. Un día decidí comprar una cámara réflex digital. Este tipo de cámara te ofrece mucho mas control sobre cómo quieres capturar una imagen. Eso sucedió en mayo del 2018 y me ha encantado el camino hasta ahora.
¿Es este mi trabajo a tiempo completo? No (aun no). De hecho, soy profesora de Inglés en un Centro Binacional en Arequipa. Tomo fotos generalmente los fines de semana y cuando voy de viaje.
Suelo hacer fotografía de arquitectura y paisaje, pero también me gustan mucho los retratos y si son en ambientes naturales, mucho mejor. Mi objetivo es capturar el amor que sientes por aquellos te son cercanos (tu familia, amigos, mascotas) o capturar la alegría que sientes cuando haces tus actividades favoritas (tu trabajo, montar motocicleta, practicar deporte, etc.)
